- Vittoria Terreno T50 Mixed Gravel Endurance 40
(100% is best)

Vittoria recently launched an entirely new lineup of gravel bike tires featuring a numbered naming scheme called the T-score (Terrain Score). The Terreno T50 Mixed Gravel Endurance we have on test today sits right in the middle of the new range with a T-score of 50 points. It should be the best option when you need a tire that offers balanced pavement efficiency and off-road capabilities.
Next to the Terreno T50, Vittoria offers the T10 Hardpack, T30 Fine Loose, T60 Mixed, T70 Coarse Loose, T80 Coarse Loose, and the T90 Mud for the roughest conditions. We expect the T50 to become one of the most popular choices in Vittoria's new lineup, so it's a good starting point to see how it performs next to the latest and greatest gravel bike tires.
The Terreno T50 features a new "Endurance Casing" and it's a 100 TPI design, with an additional anti-puncture belt under the tread. The anti-puncture belt is a bit surprising, as most comparable gravel bike tires don't offer that additional protection, but it at least leaves some room for a lighter "Light" version. The Terreno T50 Endurance is E-Bike Ready and Hookless compatible, making it suitable for nearly every gravel bike.
The compound is a new "Endurance Formulation" Graphene compound that's optimized for "dependability, durability, and performance". We've now seen a lot of iterations of Vittoria's graphene compounds, and we're excited to see if this new version can hit the gravel bike sweet spot.
The new Terreno T50 is available in the 40-622, 45-622, and 50-622 sizes with black sidewalls and the 40-622 and 45-622 sizes with brown sidewalls. We've done all the tests with a black sidewall 40-622 version and compared the T50 to the latest and greatest gravel bike tires.

The CX/Gravel section is a multi tire size section, air pressures have been adjusted to the measured casing width. All numbers are for a single tire at a speed of 29 km/h / 18 mph and a load of 42.5 kg / 94 lbs. Use the formula: RR (Watts) = CRR * speed (m/s) * load (N) to calculate rolling resistance at a given speed and load. |

Conclusion
- Vittoria Terreno T50 Mixed Gravel Endurance 40
(100% is fastest - lightest - highest - strongest)
Our test results show that the Vittoria Terreno T50 Mixed Gravel Endurance is primarily an endurance tire. We see strong overall performance in most of our tests, but the T50's significant weakness is in the rolling resistance tests, where it rolls much slower than the top-performing gravel bike tires. While we test other aspects of tires these days, we still find rolling resistance to be one of the most important aspects of a gravel bike tire.
Vittoria describes the T50 as a "one-tire-fits-all" solution, and we see that as its strongest point. With the additional E-Bike Ready rating, this might be a good option for those who don't need low rolling resistance tires.
For most of us, rolling resistance is still very important, so let's hope for a faster "Light" edition that does away with the E-Bike Ready rating.
