The top of the range tube-type road bike tire from Schwalbe is now the Pro One tube-type (read our review). I guess people that ran the previous version of the One (V-Guard) may be a bit disappointed when they haven't done enough research about this. Also, be aware the new One is also available as an even cheaper wire bead version with a weight of 405 grams!
After examining Schwalbe's entire new lineup, it looks like the Schwalbe One replaces the regular version of the Durano as the Durano is now only available as DD (double defense) and Plus versions. The older Durano was a bit tougher so this isn't a direct replacement. The 2020 One can be compared best to tires like the Continental Grand Prix, Vittoria Rubino Pro, Michelin Lithion, etc.
This is a test of the folding, 25-622 tube-type version of the 2020 One with Addix Performance compound, 67 TPI casing, and RaceGuard anti-puncture layer. The new One is also available in a tubeless TLE (read our review) version which makes it the first medium price range tubeless road bike tire.

Conclusion
- Schwalbe One Performance Addix
(100% is fastest - lightest - thickest - strongest)
Performance of the One with Addix Performance compound lags behind the previous "Evolution Line" version of the One (V-Guard). When we compare the One Addix Performance to the new Pro One, that is the real replacement of the original One, we see the Pro One performs better in all our tests.
The new One can be compared best to to other medium price range tires like the Continental Grand Prix, Vittoria Rubino Pro, and Michelin Lithion.
Rated 3 out of 5. When we compare this tire to other tires in the medium price range category, it doesn't do anything bad or particularly good in our tests. Just make sure you're not going to pay a premium price for this tire.
